The operation principle of grab

While the power is on, the hydraulic brake is opened, engine starts working and transfer the movement to gear box, diving from gear box to cable reel through connecting joint, cable reel rotaries leading the movement of cable.

When the cable is losen then the mobile block moves down, while a connecting shaft between a left grab body and a right grab body will push these 2 bodies separately and the grab opens. While tightening the cable then the mobile block will move up, let 2 grab bodies close, the grab closes at that time.

   The process of big maintenance for construction machines as follows:
   – Wash the outside of the machine
   – Disassemble all details of the machine
   – Wash all details of the machine
   – Test & classify details
   – Repair or recover damaged details
   – Assemble details and the whole machine
   – Test, adjust & paint the machine

III. FORMS OF MAINTENANCE
There are two forms of maintenance: solitaly maintenance & gradual maintenance

1. Solitaly maintenance

After maintenance, all the details or systems must be assembled into the machine which they are taken out.
All the details are widely used & suitable for types of machines which is diversified but quantities of types are few
Disadvantage of this form is prolonged time of maintenance, because the time from the end of removing to the beginning of assembling is too long and time for waiting is to recover or repair damaged machine parts.

2. Gradual maintenance

The machine was disassembled into details, structures & system or other parts of the machine with the same type have been repaired and taken from the ware house of spare parts

This form is widely used & suitable for types of machines which aren’t much but quantities of types are huge

1F is straight welding position for fillet weld
2F is horizontal welding position for fillet weld
3F is vertical welding position for fillet weld.
4F is bare welding position for fillet weld
1G is straight welding position for groove weld.
2G is horizontal welding position for groove weld.
3G is vertical welding position for groove weld.
4G is bare welding position for groove weld.
When referring to structural certification in particular, groove weld is eligible enough for welders to perform fillet weld. However, fillet weld isn’t qualified enough for welders to perform groove weld. Most of the code allows welders combine 2 positions: 3 and 4G, and these welders are qualified for all structural welding positions, pipe welding positions with a minimum diameter of 600mm.
Certification of pipe welding is also including coding system to identify the location and type of weld joint. They are similar to structural weld but much more difficult to implement. Welding positions are indicated as follows
1 stands for the case in which position of pipe is horizontal and implement straight weld
2 stands for the case in which position of pipe is vertical and implement horizontal weld.
5 is the case in which the position of pipe is horizontal and implement bare weld, horizontal weld and straight weld.
6 is the case in which the position of pipe is 45 ° and implement straight weld, horizontal weld, vertical weld and bare weld.
F stands for fillet weld.
G stands for groove weld.
R stands for limited position.
the position of pipe weld get the same encryption system as the structural position with one major exception. It is “R” letter or limited position. Limited position is used for pipe welders who perform the most difficult tests, at the same time providing similar types of challenges that welders will encounter in this field. Like the structural welding position, simply confirm position and number, then type of welding joint, letter and finally if there are obstacles, adding R. For example, 6GR will be the pipe in 45° position with the limited groove weld.
The pipe welding certificate is not currently popular, but there is still one kind of combination used. 2G and 5G combination certificate is also considered as 6G certificate. With most of pipe welders, they will get a 6G certificate and this certificate confirm for all pipe welding position and structural welding position. For most welders, welded metal which they take to be certified as carbon steel or steel A36. With other metals such as stainless steel and aluminum, they must use personal certificates and in most cases their employers will pay for these certificates.

1. The size of hydraulic breaker and excavator
   There are many types of excavators can be mounted hydraulic breaker and each has many different sizes, it is necessary to ensure the appropriate size of breaker and excavator. Therefore, the first thing to check capacity and scalability of excavator to ensure that breaker can be fitted .

The second point is the pressure and flow of hydraulic lines for breaker. Most hydraulic lines are taken from excavator, this parameter must also be consistent with breaker. Two parameters are the basis to determine the most suitable type of breaker for an excavator or identify excavator for a kind of breaker which investors require.

2. Maintenance of hydraulic breaker
   Head of breaker (top) and bushing are two most important parts of breaker. It is necessary to maintain regularly with suitable lubricants, normally after 7-8 hours. However, condition of work will determine the degree of lubrication. If the breaker are put in dusty conditions and horizontal position, must be lubricated more often.

Like most other construction equipments, hydraulic breaker should be checked daily, weekly and annual. Before working, the operator must check the plugs, rings, bolts. If these parts are loose or damaged, they must be replaced before operating. When working with abrasive and sharp materials, it is necessary to examine more the soft tube (hydraulic tube) daily.

Check for cracks, abrasion on the surface weekly. Check the connection position between excavator and breaker every month.

3. Maintenance of excavator

Failure of excavators can also lead to failure of breaker. The most important part is  hydraulic system because the breaker uses hydraulic lines from the excavator. This is the reason why manufacturers of hydraulic breaker always require to check regularly and maintain hydraulic system of excavators.

In addition, the excavator must be checked and maintained as required by the manufacturer.

4. Operation of hydraulic breaker

Like any hydraulic equipment, during operating time hydraulic lubricants must be warm enough not to damage rubber gasket quickly by the viscosity of lubricants.

Ensure breaker big enough for required job. When the working time is limited, stone is hard and thick, bigger breaker will bring greater efficiency.

5. Store of the hydraulic breaker

Store of breaker is as important as maintenance. The breaker is not properly stored , can cause internal damages. Store of breaker must comply with the requirements of manufacturers because most of breakers should be stored in vertical position but some kinds are still required to place horizontally.

When storing breaker, all parts must be lubricated and the inner space is filled with lubricants to prevent to be oxidized and contaminated.
